USec. Barbero and Amb. Dreiza, the Libyan chargé d’affaires called up by long distance at 5:00 AM.
So we went to Busuanga at 8:00 practically without sleep.
Amb. [Carlos] Valdez called up to say that Dreiza had seen USec. Barbero and was optimistic as Dreiza had seemed to be sure that Col. [Muammar] Ghaddafi would come to the Philippines. This would mean that he was ready to reach a solution.
