Have just come from a Sukiyaki party at Rudy Cuenca’s, president of the Construction Development Corporation of the Philippines which built the North Diversion Road and the South Super-Highway and heads the Resort Hotels which has taken over Tagaytay Lodge, Corregidor and Pines Hotel in Baguio.
We studied the plans for these resorts.
The hotel in Pagsanjan and Banaue are now finished. But we must improve the transport service in Corregidor and Bataan.
Stayed up to about 2:00 AM last night talking to Imelda about a certain Pat who has scandalized Washington with her story that when she was seventeen she was the girlfriend of Pres. [Lyndon] Johnson and that she also went to bed with an Asian head of state. The girl secretary, pretty and young was never alone with me long enough to have been made love to. And you do not touch the mistress of a man you want favors from. But Imelda says she loves me enough to know that I have been faithful to her although she also says she would not feel too jealous but just concerned if I should be pushed into having relations with another woman. She even says she loves me so much she would not be jealous provided she was told of it and I was not scandalized. But now she feels I should never try it. And I certainly will not be unfaithful to her.
