Upon his written request, I talked to Ex. Sen. Benigno Aquino today at 12:15 to 2:00 PM in the presence of Sec. Juan Ponce Enrile, Sec. Francisco Tatad and Solicitor Gen. Estelito Mendoza.
I am amazed at the brashness of this man although he shed tears in the presence of everyone after I had asked what he would do if I were to release him tomorrow, which he answered with a groping “I do not know.”
But he is the pragmatic political animal. No mention of country, people or public welfare. Everything rationalized through politics including subversion and treason. He is completely amoral and dangerous.
This is the type of man who still dreams to be President of the Philippines and can think only in terms of his own welfare.
Have we created the New Society with such pain and sacrifice for the follies of such man?
