From my point of view America is losing its credibility. The repeated violation of its written commitments has turned it into an untrustworthy ally.

As I look deeper into our relations with the United States, I am shocked by the almost casual disregard of pledges to our people.

  1. Aguinaldo was deceived by American leaders.
  2. We were abandoned in Bataan, then refused the veterans recognition.
  3. After World War II the buses were imposed on us.
  4. The promise of mutual defense sound hallow with the [William Stuart] Symington report.
  5. When we were facing the Mindanao secessionist movement, we were refused help by America.
  6. The pledge of military assistance under the Military Assistance Pact has now been forgotten and conditions imposed for its grant.

The Vietnam debacle was worked by U.S. deception. These leave me we with great anxiety that cannot be calmed.
