He seemed more interested in Ex-Sen. [Benigno] Aquino [Jr.] than in other matters. He wants to interview him and print his interview to balance our statement on torture and maltreatment of prisoners.
At first questioning me on long range policies and relations specially with the United States, he finally came down to Aquino whom he claims is a principal point of attraction. Although I frankly told him it was the media who had built up Aquino on the pretext that he was the opposition leader which he is not since the Liberals would have fielded [Gerardo] Roxas if there had been an election.
