My Brother,
Your photo has given not only me but also my whole family the greatest joy. You are excellently taken, as if you were speaking. For that reason, a million thanks.
I send you two photos of Loleng;[1] one for you and the other with my affectionate greeting you please send through a safe way to Maximo Viola.
I again take a walk frequently now because we have sun and warmth, which constitute my happiness. It agrees with me very well and again I smoke one cigar a day. The first cigar I smoked was from the Philippines. The Compañia General de Tabacos de Filipinas has a contract with the Austrian Government by which Philippine tobacco can be sold in some cities under certain conditions. Fortunately, among these cities is Leitmeritz.
I have written an article for the newspaper La Solidaridad which exposes the ignorance of Mr. Fabie. The article has encouraged me very much.
With the most affectionate greetings,
Your intimate friend,
F. Blumentritt
