JOSE RIZAL
CALAMBA
MY ESTEEMED FRIEND,
Last night I learned that you arrived and this morning I looked for your house. For not knowing where you are lodged I did not have the pleasure of embracing you.
But guessing that you must have already gone there to embrace your family, I hasten to bid you welcome through this letter and to offer you my house on Legazpi Street, if it can be of use to you.
Your very affectionate friend who wishes to embrace you soon.
Your ever faithful servant
