Volgograd

Temperature was 24 C at our arrival 12:15 AM [sic], windy.

Rain and flood at about 4:00 PM while going up Mamayev Hill where the great 83 meter monument is.

The first in a long, long time that it rained and hailed on a summer day.

The waters were about a foot high but the incline of the land turned the streets into rivers and drained the city immediately.

Then a boat ride in the Volga—piloted the boat.

Dinner—

Movie—the Battle of Stalingrad—

They are proud of having been the turning point of the war.
