My dearest Friend,
An hour after I had dropped into the mail box one of my letters to you I received your letter from Saigon which gave us immense joy. The painting of Eberhard Eysert was again with me and he assured me that he liked to paint me for you. That would be his Revanche[1] for your letter and your photograph. Probably I shall be painted in Dr. Czepelack’s room where we shall talk pleasantly about you and Viola. How the painting could be sent to Calamba we really do not know for sure.
With the cordial greetings of all my folks.
Yours faithfully,
F. Blumenrtitt
